A bit of info about some of the people involved in SINNG.

Nicola is heading the project and oversees the student activities for SINNG.

Kathy began as a volunteer for SINNG then went on to become an assistant primarily involved in the educational aspect of the project and as our liaison officer.
“Through SINNG I am not only learning a great deal about invasive non-native species and their impact upon the native wildlife but I’m also developing new skills and getting to meet and work with enthusiastic and interesting people constantly. It’s great to be part a project where you feel that your efforts can go some way to benefit the environment, especially when it is a man-made problem.”
Matt has set up the SINNG website, Facebook page & Twitter account & continues to maintain the website.
“I’ve really enjoyed the challenge of setting up the website for the SINNG project and I feel proud to be involved in such a worthwhile and interesting project where it is obvious that a lot of hard work has been invested by everybody involved.”
Our SINNG logo was designed by the SINNG media & education group with Gemma taking a lead on its production. She has also helped with producing much of our publicity material.
“With the help of the SINNG media and education group I created and designed the SINNG logo.
I also produce a lot of the publicity and educational material. SINNG is a great project to get involved in and it always keeps me busy.”
Matt helps with the design & production of our publicity material and helps to produce our newsletters.
“Volunteering for the SINNG project is great. It’s amazing how much you can learn from doing the workshops. I love being able to use my skills to help with the graphic designs for the media work too.”
Tracey helps with the newsletters and educational work for SINNG.
“Working as part of the SINNG project has allowed me to learn new skills and gain lots of practical experience from removing unwanted plants to how to make and deploy a mink raft. I also update the twitter feed to keep everyone up to date with what SINNG is up to.”
