Exploding Cells

Greenpower, pond detectives & more exploding cells!

We have once again been out on the road with SINNG’s interactive roadshow. This time we have been to primary and secondary schools where children have taken part in our “Exploding Cells” and pond workshops and we also had a very busy few days at the Greenpower South West Regional final at Newquay Airport. As ever our volunteers were amazing and worked hard to make sure the children learnt about invasive species whilst also having huge amounts of fun. That goes for SINNG volunteers as well as the children!

Our pond dipping workshops at Bishop Bronescomb School were brilliant. They have a lovely pond in the school grounds which meant we could get up close to the invertebrates and amphibians living in their school gardens.

Greenpower was fantastic as ever and the event marked its 10th anniversary with SINNG celebrating 5 years of inspiring children through our interactive activities.

If you are keen for SINNG to come to your school or youth organisation for workshops, field trips and a lot of fun and games email nicola.morris@cornwall.ac.uk for more details.
